Jayne The Great!!!

Well my friend Jayne,,,, did it again! Here are a few pictures she took of us two weekends ago. She is so talented. I just admire her hobby. She should go pro! I keep telling her,,, we will see!

I can't believe we are down to the last week! I remember blogging for the first time when Grace was not even 4 months old yet. I just can't get over it! It sure doesn't feel like 6 months went by already. I have to admit, I am sooooo excited to be finished with this school year, but I am going to miss my friends and of course Myra. I know Grace will miss her too. She is the only other person Grace will go to besides Adeyiza, so it will be hard. BUT,,,, that just means we HAVE to keep in touch with her.

I am packing up slowly, I hope to get more accomplished when I am off. I just can't play with Grace and pack at the same time YET. I am sure when we are home together for more hours i won't feel as guilty. But for now, all my attention is on her still. I hope to get at least 4 boxes per day the following week. I just don't want to throw everything in a box like I'm used to doing. I need to start organized, so I can hopefully continue this NEW goal! We will see...........

First Swim!!!!!

Well today Grace went swimming! OK I know,,, we had the day off to go to the doctor, not play in the sun!!! But,,, we just had to. I was so excited to see if she liked the water. YES- She LOVED it! We played and splashed and had so much fun! Once I noticed she was starting to push as if she had to go poo poo,,,, WE got out and left! It was time anyway. I didn't want to push it.

I can't wait to go again! Soon enough. I will really miss these Houston pools in the apartments. I know in Boston we don't have one,,,, so we better enjoy it while we can.

Doctor Visit- So today after all of our fun, we had her ENT follow up appointment. It went great! Thank God. He said her nose, throat, and throat all looked great, and since all of her adenoid symptoms were gone, NO need to have surgery or even use the camera to look up her nose. That was great news. She didn't like that too much last time. Anyway,,, I am very thankful and will continue to always be.

The count down begins. This is the last Friday WITH kids. Wow how the time goes by. Tomorrow is water day, so it will be a fun day!!! Happy Friday!

First I'm Nice,,, Then I'm Naughty!!!!!

Grace is so funny sometimes. She gives me these looks that I just can't describe, so I had to snap a picture of it. She is changing every day with the things she does. She started patting my arm (or others arm) a couple of weeks ago, now she pats everything she gets her hands on! I love when she pats her leg while sitting! It's so cute. Well we had that ENT apt. tomorrow for her nose, but I changed it to next week. So far she seems to be sounding a lot better. Less snore sounds and also less snot. So,,,, we shall see. The apt. is next week Thursday. I am planning on packing more this weekend. I have to get going. I know it will be easier once school is out. I will definitely have more time for things around here!!!

Just Talking!!!

Well this is a tad old, but I thought I should put another video on. I am recording some new stuff from now on!!! She is changing all the time,,, so I guess they will all get old eventually. Anyway,,, she is doing great and we are all busy packing!! Grace tries to help me,, but UMMM no,,, she isn't the best help!!!! OK enjoy!!!

I am 7 months old today!!!! OK,,, 3 days ago:)

Here she is! 7 months old...... NO way! I just can't believe how the days go by so fast. UPDATE: yesterday Grace started getting tooth #2!!! She also rolled over from back to tummy!! OK so no,, it wasn't me who noticed either one!!! Good ole Myra!!! She is just changing everyday! I wonder what today will bring???????

Watch Me Eat For The First Time!

WOW,,, ,, how cool is this to add a video??? I should have figured this out a long time ago!!! Anyway,, I will try to get some new clips to post once a week as least! How great is technology??? Now everyone can really get to know Grace:) By the way, this is Grace eating for the first time. NOW,,,, it's a whole new ballpark. I can hardly keep up with her! It's so cute! I will try to get it ALL on tape.

Is this not the cutest picture ever? Grace is transitioning to the tub. YES,,,,, I know,,, again,,,, I am a bit late. She was out growing the plastic tub a few weeks ago, but part of me just wasn't ready to let her go in the "BIG" tub. OH my,,,, kindergarten is going to be something. Perhaps I should just put her in a bubble now and never let her out of my site! OK,,, I know,,, not a good idea!! Just a thought though :)

One,,,, Two,,,,, Three She DID IT!!!

WOW,,, What a week we are having. She rolled over from her tummy to her back. I could not believe it!!!! I text Myra and said,, OK tell me the truth!! Has she rolled over yet from tummy to back??? She said no but was so close. SO YES,,, that's what I wanted. In the beginning I told Myra if she does something before I get to see it first,,, to not tell me. But then the other day I said,, OK tell me if she does anything. So today when I was working with her,,, and she did it,,, I was like ,, GRACE I am so glad you waited to show MAMMA!! Not that it should REALLY matter,,, but you feel guilty when you can't see all the "first" things that come along with having a kid when they are not with you all day. SO,,,, I hope she waits for 2 weeks with all the other new beginnings!! WOW she sure is changing by the day!!!

Get Ready,,,, Get Set,,,, TEETH!!!!

Oh gee,,,, where do I start! OK well this picture of her in her car seat,,, was taken today! I hardly ever snap pictures of us leaving,,,, BUT now I know why I did!!! This was the day her first tooth started peeking through. I just can't believe it!!! Myra brought her to me today and said she was a tad fussy today. She did look kind of glum. I thought to myself,,,, "Please don't get sick! I have only 2 1/2 weeks of school left!" We drove home, did our routine, and then Adeyiza came home. They greeted each other, and then she turned to my arm and started sucking on it. See.,,,,.. for the past 2 weeks or so, she has been sucking more than usual. But not just on her toys. She will suck my arm, neck, hands, or whatever else she can put in her mouth,,,, but like I said,,,, WAY WAY more than usual. Anyway,,,, I said to Adeyiza let me swipe my finger in her mouth. So I did,,, then I did it again,,, and again,,, and I said WHAT??? I can't believe I feel a tooth!!! Adeyiza said no way. You're just feeling her gums. So,,, I took her over to the "good" light,,,, and sure enough,, a little tooth is peeking out!! TOO cute!! Wow,,, she is getting so big. OH and I know you can't really "see" it in these pictures,,,, but you get the idea!!!!

Wake Up My Sleeping Beauty

I just had to snap our morning "wake up" time. Even though I hate to wake her up when she is sleeping so soundly,,,, it's the cutest thing ever! First,,, (as seen in the 1st pic) I say,,"Wake up my sleeping beauty!" Then,,, she moves around a bit! I touch her belly,,, and say something else to get her to listen to my voice. She is a very sound sleeper once she's in her "deep sleep", so it takes a few times. Finally, (as seen in the last pic) she looks up at me, smiles, and then I grab her. IT IS SOOOOO cute!! Majority of the times, that's how she wakes up. Sometimes it's with a ,"What are you doing MOM??" cry, and sometimes she even gets up on her own. I love the morning times. ONLY 17 more school days to wake her up with!!!! OH MY how the times fly. Remember my first blog,,,,, you know the one where I wasn't sure how I was even going to leave her? I tell you,,, it's been good and we are going to miss Myra and all her help. HOWEVER,,, I just can't wait to sleep in with her and spend the WHOLE day with her!!!! The count down begins!!!

Just another cute dress I found. Again,,,, from cousin Kaitlyn. She will probably say, "My dress,,,,!!!" and demand it back. BUT,,,, sorry,, it's Grace's dress now :)

It's about time mom!!!!!

OH my,,, so I tell you what,, I feel like I wait around and do EVERYTHING late with her!!! I mean,,, look at her,,, she probably fit in her high chair a long time ago! What's my problem??? I don't know,,, but you know what they say,,, better late than never. She ate peas tonight in her chair. She loves her chair cover. "Thanks Grammy!" says Grace. Good ol' sewing machines. My mom made the pretty cover to replace the old one. She couldn't stop looking at it. It was soooo cute!!! This chair will do for now,,, BUT we will upgrade in a year!!

A Day At The Park

Grace had a fun day today! After church we took her to a local park where they have all sorts of activities. I am showing Grace the water shoots. She put her hand in it a few times. Once in a while water will squirt out all over. Kids have so much fun running in it. A great way to keep cool!!! It was a great time!!!

Grace is so funny. I think she likes to eat better when she is feeding herself. Notice in the third picture she is sticking her tongue out,, all while spitting at me too. YES,,, she gets very messy!!!!BUT...... we are still working at it!!!!
