Sunday

This was before church last Sunday. Grace was sleeping,,, so she sat in service with us. This week we will try it again!!!! I am going to start teaching 2nd graders at the 9:15 service,,, then we will attend the 11:00 service. So,.,,,, that means Grace can be there the whole time,,, or perhaps walk around with Adeyiza for 45 min. then stay in the nursery for the 11:00 service. We will see.... !!! It would be great if she got used to being there,,,,play with other babies,,,,, and learn to look forward to it!!! I think she may as time goes by. I think Adeyiza can stay with her when I start teaching in 2 weeks. He can play for a bit,,, then sneak away!!! Well.,,, at least that's my plan anyway!!!

Off to the Museum!!!!!

We took Grace to the Boston Children's Museum today. We had a WONDERFUL time!!!! The pictures speak for themselves!!!! ENJOY!!!

Mac and Cheese!

I know it seems I've been posting a lot of her eating,,, but I need to take different pictures, so this is what I have at the time. Grace is eating some of my famous mac and cheese!! Well... it's nothing like my grandma's,,,, but Grace seems to like it. I guess come Christmas time when we go home, and she tastes great grandma's ... she may think twice before eating mine!! It's that good!! Kind of like the Nigerian food I cook. It's nothing like Adeyiza's moms cooking!!! I try to cook like her,, but of course,,, it never tastes as good. Kiesha (my sis in law) and I try to tell each other what we do to try and make it taste like Mummy's (Adeyiza's mom) but we just can't seem to get it PERFECT like hers!! Maybe after a few years it will happen!!! So,,,, Grace and I had a great week. After 3 days of rain, it did clear up the rest of the week. Grace and I went to the park on Thursday, and we had a play date yesterday with a girl from our apt. building with her 3 kids. It was so much fun. One of her kids reminded me so much of my niece Kaitlyn. She always wanted to touch Grace, play with her, and get all in her face!!! Grace loves it!!! She giggles,,, then the little girl giggles!! Also,, she had bright blond hair,,, just like Kaitlyn!! Perhaps Grace thought it was Kaitlyn,,, who knows!!! Today we are going to the Children's Museum when she wakes up from her nap. I am sure we will have a great time. Adeyiza is going to join us since he has the day off. We all went running this morning,,, so we are getting ready for round 2 of the day!!!! Last night we went out for dinner with Grace. She did sooooo good!! She didn't fuss one bit and sat in her high chair the whole time. Give her a lemon, water, and a straw,,, she is good to go!!! It was so nice to get out together!! I love this age!!!

Ooops! Sorry Mom!

Grace loves to chew on ANYTHING that's in a plastic bag! Well,,, perhaps she was chewing a tad too hard,,, the bag spilled all over her,,,,, she acted like she did something bad!!! She just looked at me as if she were in trouble!! Too cute!

Well,,, well,,, welll!!! What do we have here??? This seems to sooth her teething issues!! Although I am sure she shouldn't eat too many pudding pops. BUT- they are NO sugar added,,, soy / organic made!!! Just joking! But they really are not too bad as far as sugar and all that!!! Plus,,, I've only let her have a total of 2,,, within the last week. I end up finishing them for her,,, usually!!! Yesterday she ate most of this one. Perhaps it's b/c it feels sooooo good on her teeth. Whatever works I guess!!!

Teething Troubles!!!!!!

This morning I tried a NEW teething remedy that I read about last night in my parenting book. It said to freeze a banana,,, and let them gnaw on it. At first she wouldn't even pick it up!! ook at her,,, she put her head down to her tray! HA HA ,,,,TOO cold! After a while she did,,, but then very soon after set it down. This didn't work too well!!!! I'll have to keep trying different methods. She is now keeping her hands in her mouth ALL the time,,, a bit more tired,, and sometimes a tad more fussy!! SO I am sure it's her teeth. OR possible staying inside another day!!! I told her that we need the rain and that we will just have to be creative INDOORS for a while!!!!

Yum Yum!!!

OK so this is Egg Sauce. It's a Nigerian dish that's soooo good!! I made some for dinner last night! Grace loved it. I put it over potatoes,,, you can use yams too,,, but we didn't have any!

Where are we going mama???

This was right before we left for music class. I think her teeth were bothering her all morning,,, so she finally fell asleep. I told myself if she wakes up at 11:30 we will go,,, if not,,,, I'll let her sleep! Well,,, she woke up at 11:40 and yes we still went. She did ok,,, a tad grumpy towards the end,,, but oh well,,, she had fun. So,, yesterday I baked her some sweet potatoes with chicken. Today I made her homemade mac and cheese for lunch. For dinner she had a Nigerian dish,,, I have pictures that I will post soon. I am trying to cook more foods for her.... now that she loves most table foods anyway,,, and I also try to include at least 2 Nigerian meals if not more,,,per week. She is doing good with all of this and growing up before my eyes!!!!

Indoors again,,,,, Rain Rain GO Away!!!

Today Grace and I had to stay inside ALL day!!! It's been raining for two days,,,, but yesterday we took a cab to music class. I just couldn't let Grace skip that!! She loves it too much!

OH I FORGOT- Grace said Mama yesterday! It's so cute!!! I love it!! She only says it in a high pitched voice!!! Then looks at me and laughs!!! She is sooooo funny!!!
