I'm ready for church!!!

This was on Sunday. I had her all set and ready to go to church,,,, but the dress didn't make it. She was so hot that I had to change her. She gets hot so easily. I can't keep a whole lot of clothes on her. Today was another great day for her. She is consistently going to bed around 7:o0 and waking up around 4-5. I know it's the formula. Ever since I started it, she's been sleeping longer. I didn't get to work out today like I thought. Once I was ready to,,,, she popped up. She must not want me to shed these last 20 lbs:)

Say Cheese!

Grace has a new chair for Myra's house. I love this one!!! She sits so good in it. I just hope her thighs last a while in it. Looks almost like tight squeeze. So,,,, another Monday! I got up Early to do some things,,,,, so before I try to work out I thought I should post some new pictures. WE had a nice weekend. We all went to church yesterday. Grace did great in the nursery. She even ate a bottle with them. She refused to eat with me before we left. She was too tired. But..... they said she ate and went back to sleep. So that was good! It was so nice out, so Grace and I went for a long walk. (2 of them!) I can't believe this is my last winter in this nice weather. I guess the trade off is worth it though. OK happy Monday!!!!!

4 month pictures!

Here are a couple examples of her 4 month pictuers. For some reason I can't find the other ones. Adeyiza has them in a folder, but I can't find it. Anyway,,,, they will be done this week. I am very excited!!!!

Well,,, we had a great day today buying Grace some new toys. Adeyiza put together her saucer. She loves it! Only for a bit though,,,, she gets board fast. It's so cute,,, see that ball she's holding? She holds the bottom with one hand, and spins the ball with the other hand. She just started doing that the last time I put her in it. Sooooo cute! Anyway,,, we also got her a few other things to keep her busy. I just realized that I had a lot of newborn toys,,,, so we had to upgrade a bit. This should keep her busy for a little while,,,,, I hope!!!

Mom,, I said no pictures!

Doesn't the second picture look like she's saying, " Mom,,,, stop taking pictures!" I just love that look on her face. Anyway,,, Grace has been doing great. Tomorrow is Friday ,,, again :) I am planning a family trip to Baby's R Us this Saturday. Grace really needs some older toys. I want to get her a bouncer/jumper. The one that she sits in and plays with the items around it. I feel it's long over due. But,,,, she did just start holding her head up good, so I think the time is right. I also need to get some toys that she can manipulate with her hands/feet. I was online looking at a few,,, so we will do that Saturday.

School is going good too. The students love my blog. They all want to see it everyday. So,,, I show them during "Journal" time. They just all say, "Awe!" Over and over again. It's cute!

Adeyiza is busy as always. We are getting excited about our move to a Boston. I hope he has a nice schedule this year (He starts in June). I can't believe he is almost finished with residency. It's been a long time coming, and I am very proud of him. I am ready for the next chapter in our lives, so we'll see!!!!

Healthy Girl

I just had to put on a diaper picture. Look at her,,, she is just so cute! We thank God. I am just so thankful that she is healthy and growing. I can't say that enough. Today was a BIG eating day for Grace. I usually only have 5 oz bottle prepared because she hardly ever finishes them. Well Myra and I have been talking and both agree that lately she seems to want more when the bottle is finished. So, she ate her 5 oz for her morning bottle ( she's not a big morning eater), and then Myra said she ate all of her 8 oz at noon. WOW I was so shocked. That's almost double what I've been giving her. Poor thing,,,, I've been starving her. Well maybe not,,, according to these pictures :) Anyway,,, she ate another 7 oz before we left for home. Then before bed time she had another bottle. I am actually only nursing her for like 5 min. a day. Only when she is fussing,,, and I know that's what she wants. I just have to give in since she is getting so many bottles. Anyway,,, just thought I would share the BIG day. So from now on,, I will be sending the BIG bottles. OK WOW I know now why they say formula is so expensive,,, YOU BUY so much of it. I had to make a pit stop to the store this morning. OH also,,, last night she slept from 7:30 to 5:00!!! Yes all night! I even got up at 2:00 and watched her for a minute. I knew she was out for a while, so I went back to sleep. Until 4:00 that is............. I was finally able to work out. She's been getting up so often that I couldn't get my work outs in,,, but today was good. So I hope for another good night sleep!!!

Good Morning!

This was yesterday morning (Tuesday) before we left for the day. Grace looked so cute,,, so I had to snap a quick picture. She is so fun in the morning. She talks and plays with me before we go. She does get very sleepy right before it's time to load the car. She is starting to get on a great schedule now. I can't believe tomorrow is already Thursday. Again,,, where does the time go?????

Play Time

Grace is getting better at holding her head up and tummy time. I guess all the practice pays off. She is doing really well with her formula. Tonight I gave her a bottle with formula only,,, just to see what she would do,,, and YES she took it! But I will continue to mix it half with breast milk for a while. I can't believe it's already the end of February. The days just seem to go by so fast.

Pretty Princess

Today Grace got her 4 month pictures taken. I feel like a bad mom,,, this was the first professional photo shoot. Some people I know get them done for each month, but that's just not happening right now. We thought we would hit all the important dates. BUT- I did month 4 only because this dress is not going to fit much longer. Grandma Momoh sent it to us. We thought it would be great for her pictures. It was,,,, they turned out so cute!!! She kept wanting to eat her dress,,, as you can see! I tell you,,,, it ALL goes straight to the mouth! I love this age :)

Suit #2!!!

OK so I have one more suit that my sister gave me. Again,,,, it's cute but it will be too small for summer. Oh well,,, she likes to wear them now. She is so funny. She looks at all the new clothes I put on her. She is probably going to be a picky dresser when she is old enough. I will put a stop to that ASAP,,, she will wear what her mamma dresses her in!!! Just like I did ,,,, remember???

One and a Two!

Yup..... I am starting Grace early on her work outs! We do ball exercises and all sorts of muscle strengthen activities! Ha ha just joking ,,, I saw this in a magazine. It works just like tummy time on the floor. She will lift up her head the same way. She seems to enjoy it better than on the floor.

Well I gave her a taste of formula today. I mixed 1 oz with the rest breast milk. She took most of it. I am going to start transitioning her off nursing for multiple reasons I guess. The biggest would have to be work. Although I have the best team, and they always say ," No problem!" when I need them, I feel that I am constantly asking them to watch my kids. I can honestly say that I would not have been able to nurse this long with out them. So,,,, I pray she will transition well. Plus I have enough frozen milk to get her to at least month 6. So that's the news here!!!!

Bye Bye Grammy and Papa

A very very sad time is when Grammy and Papa have to leave. It's so hard to say good bye to them. Grace is going to miss them so much. Thank you mom and dad for all your help. We couldn't have gotten through this with out you both! We miss you already!

4th month check up!

Well today was a busy day. She had her 4th month check up. Here are the results - 15.14 lbs , and 25 inches. She is still in the 95 % for weight and 75% for weight. We thank God for her health and growth!

The best tummy time ever!

See,,,, I told you she changes every day. Remember my old post on tummy time? She could hardly get her head up. Well,,, now look!! She is getting better and better each day. Before she would cry and fuss. She still does sometimes, but not as much. Or maybe since today is her 4th month birthday, she had to show off. I don't know,,, either way she is getting stronger. I am so thankful for her health and growth.

I am 4 months old today!!!

Ummm WOW,,, I just realized after posting this that it looks like she has a fro. She really doesn't, I think mom gets brush happy and makes it fuffy.

Believe it ,,,, or not!! Yes,,, she is already 4 months old. Where does the time go???? She is in a summer outfit. I had to put her in a little dress. It's like playing dolls. I dress her up, change her, then dress her up again.

Well tomorrow is the big day. We have her appointment, and then we will see Grammy and Papa off. Wow,,, they've been such a huge help these past few weeks. I will truly miss them. I want to thank them for all they've done for us. Grace will thank them as well one day. I will tell her all about it!!!

I love my bath!!!

Ok - this is the last post. I just had to get this on. She still loves her bath. She started crying once when I took her out. She is getting too tall for her tub though. I may need to start giving her one in our BIG bath. It's so cute , she splashes and smiles,,,,, and of course all while eating her hands. I love bath time, it's my favorite time of day!!!

She is really holding her head up very well!! She loves to sit in this bobby. I had to post a few different pictures tonight. I guess I feel a bit guilty for slacking during the week!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Grace had her first Valentine's Day. Adeyiza got her a rose,,,, as you can tell,,,, she LOVED it! Of course she wanted to eat it. The stuffed animals were from my kids at school! They are too sweet!!!!! Tomorrow Grace is going to stay with Grammy and Papa!! Last day for them to watch her. I know it will be sad. We are all going to her 4th month check up on Tuesday. I can't wait to see how much she weighs. My guess is 16lbs. We will soon find out!

What can I get in my mouth next????

Grace is at that stage where she wants to put everything in her mouth. I love it!!! It's so cute. She loves rings and round rattles the most. It's so cute to see her grab things now. I just can't get over how fast she is growing up.

Things are still pretty busy. These days go too fast,,,, but at the same time not fast enough. Grace is doing pretty good at Myra's house. She still needs to get on a good routine again,,, but she will soon enough. I know with 3 weeks at home it's kind of hard for her again. I guess it's hard for both of them ( Myra and Grace). Grace can be a bit demanding. This I know!!!!

This is the last weekend for mom and dad. I can't believe it's all coming to another end. This time around went even faster b/c we were all so busy. At least I will see them again in March,,, along with the rest of the crew!!

Back in Time!!!!!

Yes, these are very old. This was when Grace was a week old. I just can't believe how much she's changed. I had to go back in time because Adeyiza's computer is still getting fixed and I have no recent pictures saved on my mom's computer. So I pulled these up from her stash of Grace's pictures. Anyway,,,I am so sorry for the delay in my blog. Wow,,, these days are just so busy and by the time I have a minute,,, I get so tired. Life is good though!!! I can't complain.

Grace is doing great with Myra again. I think she is a little thrown off her routine, but she will establish a new one shortly. It's amazing how much she has changed in the past 3 weeks. She now grabs toys, sucks on everything she can find, and she makes the cutest noises ever. As soon as I get our computer back, I will post some of her grabbing toys. Other than that, nothing is really new. Mom and dad have been a great help. I try not to let them work too hard. We both know they need to rest.

Grace has her 4th month check up next Tuesday. WOW 4 months!!!! I love going to the doctors to see how much she weighs. BUT I hate,, hate ,,, hate when she get shots.

I can't wait to come home in March. I can't wait for Grace to meet her family and my friends. So I will end by saying that I will post new pictures as soon as I get the computer back. For now,,, just admire how little she "used" to be!!! :)

I'm ready for the summer.....or am I?

Grace is all ready for the summer. Well... I thought so anyway. My sister gave me this suit to use this summer,,, but as it looks,,,,, I think we will need to upgrade before then. It fits her now. She loved having it on. I think she just loves having her clothes off. Once I undress her,,, she kicks and starts talking really loud while giving me big smiles!!!!
Things are going really good for all of us. Grace is eating very well,,,, and seems to have fun all day. She must be,,, she still goes to bed at 7:00!!! I can't believe how the time is going by so fast. I love having mom and dad here. They are such a big help. I told them they could just live here for the next few months,,,,, but they need to get back. PLUS.... I am sure Myra wants Grace back. They were starting to have such a great bond before the accident. Myra is doing better and she will start having Grace again Monday. I am glad she is ok. We miss her!!!!! OK over and out!
