Bow on Nose!!

I don't know what it is.... but Grace loves to have her bow on her nose. I did it once when we were playing around, and now she wants me to do it all the time. She will take it out of her hair, hand it to me, and lean in so that I can put it on her nose. She smiles and giggles the whole time. She is so silly!!

Busy Girl

Grace has been keeping me on my toes lately- that's for sure!! She now likes to climb up on the window sill to look out. We've had one tumble, which isn't bad since she's doing this all the time. As soon as she starts to make her way over- I go running behind her.

Now this is TIRED!!!

This was after our Valentine's Day party. It was so cute- we came home and while I was making lunch she fell asleep on the floor. I picked her up and we both took a nap. I knew she was so tired. That's what happens when we play hard. :)

She is WALKING!!!!

Grace is really starting to walk more. She is now going from across one side of the room to the other!!! Oh and the balloon?? Yes- that's our new learning tool. See I usually buy solid colors, but this time she wanted "ELMO". She loves Elmo and Dora!! Anyway- so I get solid colored balloons and introduce her to 2 new colors every so often. She loves it!! We also do "UP" (the balloon goes up) and "DOWN" ( the balloon gets pulled down). Now I know what you're thinking- ok come on "teacher"! But it's working. Now everything that she holds up in the air is "UP" and then she drops it and says "DOWN". So with just simple balloons I teach colors, up, and down. Oh and she does know how to say "geen" ( green), "Boo" (blue) "yeow" (yellow) "Pik" (pink)That's it for now. Later we will talk about helium and all that chemistry stuff!! ha ha.

Valentine's Day Party

I just had to post these as soon as we got back. It wouldn't make sense to do it after Valentine's Day :) We had a great time with our friends. We played games, sang songs, and decorated cookies. Wow- were they good!!! I stopped eating cookies after Christmas, but I had to have just one on Valentine's Day. We are home now and about to take our nap. This is my last Valentine's Day post. I hoped you enjoyed knowing what we did!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day

OK this was my Valentine's Day picture, but I didn't to post it b/c I felt big. BUT- I thought I may feel big, and look big, but I'm suppose... HELLO I'm pregnant!!! SO here we are. Our Valentine's Day picture. We got all red and pink for church.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to you all!!

Books, Books, and more Books!!

Grace love to sit in her crib and look at her books. She is so funny because she tries to "read" them. She will mumble like she is saying the words, turns the page, and then continues to mumble until the book is done. She will drop it and go to the next one!!!! My little reader!!!

Book Worms !!!!

Well... it's true!! Grace and Kian love to read. At one time we were all reading , when they wanted to read my books!!! So- I let them take a peek. They loved it. The books were, "What to Expect When Expecting", and "What to Expect The First Year". I know- pretty boring. But- it's time to brush up on all that good knowledge. It was cute though. They didn't want to give my books up- so I read about Elmo and Big Bird.
Grace is doing better. NO MORE SICKNESS!!! Amen!!! I was beginning to get a tad worried. It's kind of scary. I guess this was her first flu- so perhaps she (ME) is grateful she really hasn't been sick like this before. Kian had the same thing the weekend before. They love to share germs. If they only knew they were building each others immune systems- ha ha!!

Get This Off Of ME!!!!

Grace always tries to take off her bib. Ha ha.... this one is a snap one. She couldn't do it. This was before she got sick - so no.... I'm not that mean. This was probably 4 days ago during her snack time. Cheerios and strawberries - YUMMY!! Grace is still under the weather. She is now having it come from both ends. I know- poor thing!!! But she is still playing, laughing, and in a good mood, so I can't say it's horrible. But I hope this bug goes away soon. She's had 4 baths today already. See- when she has a blow out (diarrhea) it's the kind that come out the front, back, and down the legs. Very messy and smelly. (Maybe TMI - I know!) So that for sure calls for a bath. Now when she throws up- again, it's every where and even sometimes in her hair. So that of course calls for a bath. Anyway- we will hope and pray this is coming to an end. She's not eating- just drinking fluids. So we'll see!!

Poor Grace

It all started at 12:00 AM. We were all sleeping so soundly, when I heard Grace do this swallow/gag sound. I jumped up, grabbed her, and then it started- throwing up!!! She's never been like this before. I mean yes- she's thrown up, but not like this. She caught a bug of some sort. The nurse said they are seeing this all over. Either throw up- or diarrhea. Anyway, we spent the night changing her, bathing her, and keeping her comfortable. She was on and off until 4:30. I felt so bad for her. I hate when she is sad or sick. BUT- now she is feeling a little better. I let her watch Dora more than ever today. We are having a Dora marathon. I guess that's all you can do with a sick one. Plus- I want her to rest up:) She is acting herself- so it shouldn't be too much longer until she is 100%. I did give her some crackers and water. I tried to feed her some soup- but I could tell she was not feeling up to it. So I gave her a Popsicle and called it good. I'm sure by the end of the day she will be all better.

Say What????

Grace is becoming such a silly girl. I just have to laugh sometimes. She is really starting to talk now. She can say almost anything I say (not exactly- but pretty close) and it's just so cute. Sometimes she will say, "Coat- bye- bye!" And head over to her coat, and then to the stroller. I guess she REALLY wants to get out of the house. She will also put her toes to her mouth and say "Toe- bite!" I love how she is starting to put two words together. Some other favorites, "Appel, Nana (banana), gogurt (yogurt), outside (REALLY- just like that), socks, shoes, pts (pants), bath, bubbles, and actually the list goes on and on, but you get my drift. When I say almost anything- I mean it!! I love it. It's easier to communicate now that she can tell me what she wants. Oh and her eating- Ummmm let's just say we are working on that. She has become my picky little girl. I am having a hard time finding a variety of foods she likes. She really won't try new things- and sometimes won't even eat what she does like. So I do what I can. She is still pretty high on the weight chart- so I think it's ok for now. Her new favorite snack is microwave popcorn. OK that's all I have tonight!! Superbowl is over now- so I am going to bed.

Wow- What will they think of next?

Grace got such a cool toy for Christmas that we are just starting to use. She's still a bit young but hey - who knows!! It's called Tag Junior by Leap Frog. Basically it's a series of books with a little white hand held gadget - called Tag Junior. You place the Tag over the book page by page, and it reads the story to you. You can even just put the Tag on any animal, object, plant, or ANYTHING and it will tell you what it is and/or sing a song too. It's really neat and Grace loves it. You download the books from the computer (after you buy them from the store). So far we have one- but that will change soon. It's also neat b/c all the characters have different voices and make different sounds. I thought if I get her used to it now- but the time baby #2 comes, I can send Grace off to "read" on her own!!! ha ha. We'll see.

But Mom....... I'm Tired!!!

Sometimes when we have a busy morning with play dates and running around to do, Grace gets so sleepy at lunch time. I try to hurry and feed her because I know if she doesn't eat before our 2 hour nap- she will wake up sooner. (I count on those 2 hour naps these days!!) I was able to feed her, and I tried to keep her up with a Popsicle so that I could eat- but it was NOT happening!! She started to fall asleep. I cleaned her off and we both went to sleep. It's just sooooo cute!!!
