Swimming and Fishing!!!

Grace sure does enjoy being at the "blue house" with her Grammy and Papa. She loves to fish and swim now. She's becoming a great swimmer even without her official lessons yet. I hope to start those in April or May. I am glad she enjoys all the things I grew up doing. Fishing has always been a big part of our lake activities. The best part is cooking and eating them. Mmmmm sounds good right about now!!!!

..........or not............

Kaitlyn reading a book to John. Love all this extra help!

We had a blast at my sisters house. It was nice to be around family. I always look at my pictures and wish I would have taken pics of everyone else- but it's always just the kids. Anyway- next time I will get more of the adults. That's fun too!!!
We had a fun day today. I decided to take the kids to a petting farm. Grace loved it! John... not so much. He cries at big animals and even big dogs. Grace has always loved animals and has NO fear. She was touching them, feeding them, and even wanted to kiss the goats. We had a good time. Tomorrow I start my touring of new schools for Grace. So they will be with our sitter for a couple hours tomorrow and Wednesday. I hope I find one I like. Tomorrow is the one I am excited about. It's with Saline schools - and since they will attend Saline schools it's my first choice. (As long as I like the facility.) Anyway- that's about all. Tomorrow I will post the CUTEST pics of Grace fishing with Papa and swimming with Grammy. Stay tuned......

Happy Easter

Easter pictures are coming tomorrow. I am too tired and about to go to bed- but I just had to let everyone know that we had a great Easter celebration with our family. It's nice to be so close to home. I am so thankful for that.
Happy Easter!!

It was a Good Friday!!

Grace didn't have school today- so we spent the morning at the park. We first went to Meijer to get a few things- and I let her pick out a donut. She picked out a vanilla frosting with sprinkles on it. We got home and she wanted to eat it at the park. So we loaded all of our goodies up and headed over there. I wish I had my camera with me when she was eating her donut. She loved it!!! We played for a while and then came home. They both ate and took a nap. After they woke up we went back outside. Of course we went back to the park. I love having a park across the street. It's so convenient for us to just walk over.
Tomorrow we are heading up to my parent's house for Easter.
Happy Good Friday to everyone!!

Mango Muncher

Grace loves to eat mango. I was calling her the mango muncher.... and she would start to giggle. She makes eating mango look so good.
We had a fun day today. John and I spent the morning together- and then we went to pick up Grace. I took them to a new park down the street. They loved it!! It was pretty busy- so John liked to look at all the kids. Grace played and played until I got cold. OOps I forgot my coat so I made it a quick trip. But that's ok - b/c it was soon time for naps anyway. After they woke up we went to our usual park across the street. We played there for a while then came home to draw with chalk on the driveway. Then dinner , play, bath, and bed! That was all. Nothing new going on here. We will be spending our FIRST Easter in Michigan this year. We've never been home for Easter. Once we went to Canada but that's it. I am glad Grace will have family to be around. She sure does love the attention. Next week is her Spring break. I will have to think of something fun to do then too. Today she got in the car after I picked her up from school and said, "I want to eat at the pancake house (IHOP) with daddy!" It was so cute!! So we'll have to make that a once a month thing I guess- if not more!! I love going out for breakfast!! Ok that's it!!

Just like sister Grace!

If you remember... Grace always used her toes to pick things up. It was so funny. Although John doesn't do it as often, he does do it sometimes. It always reminds me of Grace!!
Today was very dark and rainy. It cleared up around 4ish- so we all went to the park. Adeyiza got home a tad early and joined us later. We stayed for a while and then came home for dinner.
This past weekend we took the kids out to IHOP for breakfast. They did so good. We truly need to take them out to eat more. I guess John is so unpredictable- but since he's getting better we should. He loves to people watch. Especially when people give him attention. He eats it up!! That's all he eats up... no food!! LOL
Grace had 2 big pancakes with fruit. She's a good eater when she wants to be. Can't say the same about John. I still struggle to get him to eat- but everything else is going ok- so I can't complain. His favorite foods are rice, spaghetti, cheese - its, goldfish, kiwi, strawberries, and that's about it. He WILL not eat veggies. I tried all types- prepared all different ways- and NOPE!! I even soaked some in butter. NOPE! Will not eat any of it!! So in the mean time I try to sneak it in his bottle- whatever works!!
Grace doesn't have school Friday so I am trying to think of something creative for us to do. Hmmm what will I think of?? Whatever it is, I need to get some new pics.

Grace For President

Grace's school had a book fair and the moment I saw this book I had to buy it. AND OF COURSE... I have a story to go with it. So I went to buy it the next day before I had to pick up Grace. John was with me.... and we were standing in line with the book. A little BOY looks at my book and says these EXACT words, "Grace for President.... yeah right.... that would NEVER happen... a female President....hahaha!" I about died. He made me want to go and vote for Palen (or however you spell her name). ( OK NOT) But the nerve of him to say that. First of all, it's sad that a little kid that's in about 6th grade has that picture already painted in his mind - and Second of all, Grace... my Grace... could probably be president. If he only knew!! ha ha. Anyway- I got over it- but I admit - it did bother me for a minute.
Anyway- it's such a cute book and Grace loves to hear it... over and over again!!

My Favorite Thing TO Do!

He loves to play in his crib now more than ever. He pulls himself up and walks around it. He tries to crab the giraffes and he LOVES to play peek-a-boo too. Just pure fun!!! Oh and it looks as if I spilled a bottle or something on it. I will have to clean that up tomorrow. OOOPS!!

Just Because

John is so funny these days!!! He is ALL over the place. 2 weeks after his 9 month check up he started doing all the "things" he was suppose to be doing at his 9 month check up. That's usually how it goes with my children. They do what they want- when they want to. Here is how the conversation went at his apt.
Doc. "Is he pulling up?"
ME: "NO"
Doc. "Is he going from floor to sitting position?"
ME: "NO"
Doc. "Is he crawling?"
ME: "NO"
AND on and on!!
You get my drift. All the milestones he was suppose to reach by now.... he wasn't doing. Then.. what do you know. 2 weeks later he is pulling himself up, sitting from a laying down position, walking from object to object, and he even took a couple steps alone. He is still wobbly- but he's improved even over the weekend. He is doing everything now that he is "suppose" to be doing. But really- I don't pay attention to those charts. My theory is that all kids learn and grow at the pace that's best for them. Plus my doc. said all these milestones don't equal high test scores!! So it's all good. I am thankful to God for all his progress.
