Just Playing Around!!!!!

I really think Grace LOVES having carpet. She will be at one end of the room,,,, and then way over to the opposite side. She is on the move!!! We went to the park again today. She went swinging, and then we came home. We also went to the court yard. I also have a class I am going to on Monday called Little Movers!! You sing and MOVE with your baby. I can't wait to show them my moves!! Ha ha! Then if you like it,,, you can get a membership. Ummmm ,,, yes,,, I am finding that MOST things have a price. SO,,,I ma going to pick only two things we can join and then hopefully we will make connections by just attending those. For sure I want to check out the children's museum, swimming classes, Little Movers, and one more called Baby Wiggle. So we will see!! Not much else is going on. I am just trying to keep her busy. The days go by so fast. Here is a glance of our schedule. It's been very consistent since we've been home. YES--- she is going to bed very early again. In MI she was going to bed between 10:00 and 11:00,,,, that WAS not normal!! OK here it is!!

5:10 (for real- always 5:10 or 5:11) Wake up, song time, bottle

6:30 - 7 Nap (My work out)

8:30 - 9:00 Breakfast

10:00 Nap

11:00 ish or when she wakes- Play time: (in some way)

12:00 LUNCH

12:30 - 1:00 Books - Nap

1:30 ish Play the rest of the day!!!!!!!

5:00 dinner

6:00 Bath

6:30 - 7 Books - Bottle - BED TIME!!!

Anyway,,, just in case you were wondering!! It's so true what people say,,, the older they get the easier!!! In between all that.... we still do the reading program, flash cards, worship and song program, and many other fun things I gathered!!! It's been great so far!! This is our first summer together,,, so I am making it count,,, and every summer to come!! The only thing I do wish we had was a pool or a lake near us. Most of those things are far. However,,, I am going to try to ride the bus or something by myself with her,, ok well I'm going to make Adeyiza come with us first,,, then once I get the hang of it,, I will see if it's ok for me to do alone! I mean it should be. People do it all the time right???? OK until next time!! WOW,,, with all this EXTRA time,,,, my blogs will be very LONG!!! Yippy

Oh check out the feet moves. I will put a toy by her feet. She takes her feet feels the toy, and lifts it up to her hands. I love it. I should tape it and post it. She's a very "foot on" kind of girl!!!

First Play Date

Grace had her first play date today!!! Adeyiza met a guy at work with a wife and child!! So we met up with them today and two little ones played. She is 16 months old and walking! Grace tried to get out of my hands to walk,,,, SORRY,,, not yet!!! (Looking at this picture makes me realize that I better start keeping her shoes on!! I always take them off in her stroller!) Anyway,,, the sad thing is that they are moving next month. We basically met so that she could give me some helpful hints while we are here in Boston. She took me to a mall where they have a store for mammas! You can buy things, take classes, or just go to let your child play. So we will have to make sure we get out and meet some kiddos! She is also going to send me links to play groups and things she got involved in too. Her husband ( the one Adeyiza met) did a year fellowship in Plastics too, so he is done, got a job, and now they are off!!! But,, I am glad we met and talked about what I could do. That was nice of her.

I got a lot finished today. For some reason I had some extra Monday energy. I arranged the living room, unpacked almost all the extra boxes, and sorted through a LOT of things that my parents will take back in August or October! (If they are still coming:) ) Not too much,, just enough to fill my car that's being stored at their house. OH before I forget, people keep asking me about our car situation and all that. So,,,, we left both cars in MI with my parents. We do not have a car here. Adeyiza walks to and from work everyday. Sometimes he takes the bus, but most of the time he walks. ( I am sure that will change come winter!) Grace and I walk to where ever we need to go. The good thing is that EVERYTHING is in walking distance, or at least almost. Supermarkets, clothing stores, hair places, Starbucks, restaurants, ice cream places, T-mobile, Bed Bath and Beyond, Best Buy, and lots more,,,, are right by us or connected to us, so we have it made. Sometimes Grace and I go to Starbucks and get a vanilla bean drink (made with soy - it's good,, try it,, she loves it!). We sit outside and people watch. She looks at the people as they walk by. Sometimes she gets excited ,, but then they pay her no attention (not on purpose) and walk on by. Now,,, some people will stop and say something or talk to her. Again,, she loves it! I figure this way she thinks we have lots of friends and human interaction. I know,,, pretty funny. I just can't believe how fast these days do go by and I really haven't even started many groups or anything. I thought it would go by slow,,, but I guess keeping up with her and making sure she is busy is the reason for how fast the days fly by!!! Anyway,,, She is sleeping now. Adeyiza should be home soon. Oh and his hours are not bad. He is usually home for dinner,,, and yes,,, I wait for him. I used to have to eat at 5 or 6! But now,,,, I don't even worry about it. I figure it's worth the wait to have a nice meal with him!! So,,, I guess I better start the oven!!

What... Another Ballpark??????

OK so we were walking home from our BUSY day yesterday,,, and I told Adeyiza that we've lived near a ballpark our whole entire time in Houston and now in Boston. TOO bad we aren't baseball fans!!! I just couldn't help but laugh as we fought the crowd once again!!! It was so much fun though. You always walk the streets and someone will always ask you to buy tickets. We were going to do that once in Houston,,, but never did. We always bought the tickets prior (well I guess we've only been to a couple games, but that's not the point.). We are going to try it one night though just for something to do. Anyway,,,, we'll see what happens. I just had to tell everyone that once again we are in the mix with the baseball crew!! It's kind of fun though! I even told Adeyiza that we should get our Astros t-shirts on and represent Texas,,, because literally,,, EVERYONE is a Red Sox fan!!!! We would probably get kicked out,,,, beat up,,,,, or asked to leave!!! Ha Ha Just a joke!!! BUT,,,,,, Boston is really a cool place. I am really starting to appreciate these buildings... OLD,,, but beautiful!!!! WOW,,, so much history!

Duck Tours

We had a very busy day yesterday. We went on a tour called Duck Tours. We had to take a train to get to the Aquarium where the tours depart from. I told Grace to hang on tight!!!!! As you can see,,,,, she was :) So, as seen in the picture, we rode in that bus/boat. YES,,,, it turns to a boat 1/2 way through the tour. The tour was about Boston's history. WOW,,,, what an amazing historical place!!! I recommend anyone who visits Boston to take this tour. Very informative!! Anyway,, so we had a blast. Grace did so well. BUT,,, she would not smile for the picture. Those eyebrows have a mind of their own!!! After the tour we went and watch kids play in the water on the street. That's the first picture you see!!! Grace wanted to get out SOOO bad!!! But,, next time I guess! We headed home and she was out! I gave her a quick bath and she fell fast asleep. It was a great day!!!!

First Father's Day

I am just looking over all my pictures and really should add some of these good ones to catch everyone up. This was the day before Father's Day. We celebrated the night before (with dad as well) since they were leaving the next morning ON Father's Day. MAN,,, I should have took some pictures of dad too. But anyway, here is Grace giving Adeyiza his first Father's Day gift. It's a picture of the two of them. I blew it up, framed it, and now it's in our living room.

On another note, today was a great day. Grace and I went running, had breakfast, and then played for a while. We then took a walk around the block. It was very hot today. Grace went to sleep again, while I managed to find our way back to the apartment. We also went to the play room (down stairs) and played with a little boy. Grace was SOOOO happy. It made me realize that she REALLY needs to be interacting with other kids. She loved it!!! She even got so tired out that she cried for one minute and then was OUT for the night! I have actaully met a couple ladies with kids. I do have a play date on Monday. She is leaving though. Adeyiza met her husband, and then we connected. So she is going to help me with things to do, and then it's ALL up to me!!

OK so both of these pictures were taken the day they left. The one with Grace was the morning before. I let her cuddle with daddy before we took off to the airport. I love it when Grace sleeps next to Adeyiza. I have so many pictures of the two of them sleeping. At times they are sleeping the same way, same position and everything,,,, LOVE IT!

Then the top picture!!!! OH yes,,,, there they are! Before the big trip!! I can't thank dad enough for coming down to drive with Adeyiza and I also can't thank Adeyiza enough for all his hard work before, during, and after. (MOVERS!!!!- that's a whole different BLOG)

Sorry so late,,, BUT thanks for what you two did!!!! I guess I should say,,, and KEEP doing! : )

She's a SIDE Sleeper!!!

OK last post and then I am off to bed. So Grace rarely sleeps on her back anymore. It's usually on her side just like this. A few times she will even go to her stomach. Sometimes that makes me nervous. But I know,,,, don't worry! I even flip her back if I notice it,,, only when she's in her DEEP sleep though. I would not want to wake her up!

Outside / Time to Eat!

Oh I forgot... this top pic is our "yard". I usually put her on the grass and we play. It's a really nice area. Perhaps some parent with a child will see Grace and say, "Awe.... she's all alone, let's go play with her!"

This is where Grace eats her food now. She is getting used to it ,, I think... I hope!!

OH YES!!!! A BIG TUB!!!!

OK so we've been on vacation for a few weeks. While we had so much fun, I do know that Grace missed a BIG bath tub. Not that she didn't LOVE the mini one,,,, but I know she just loves to lay back, kick, and relax. SO,,, here she is in our new tub. Adeyiza got her a non slip mat to put under her. The tub is very slippery, so we had to protect her from falling when she sits up. OH and the first picture,,,, isn't that funny!! Her hair is so long when it's wet. It will curl back up, but as soon as I pour water on her head... that's how long it gets!!! Too cute!
