I am 11 Months Old Today!!

WOW!!! I just can't believe that she is almost a YEAR Old!!! Where does the time go??? She is doing good,, BUT she is off with her sleep. Today she started getting a runny nose,,, so I am thinking more teeth?????

OK so I tried making my own Popsicles. Ummm ,,,,,,,,,,,not so good. She sucked on them for a while,,, but not for too long. Perhaps the flavor??? Perhaps the shape???? Not sure!! I need to get the Popsicle makers. Recipe: carrot puree, applesauce, with banana chunks. I know,, sounds YUMMY!!!! Hey maybe she just wanted to save them for me!!!!

Peek - A - Boo!

Grace is really starting to remind me more and more of my nephews and niece. Yes,,,, when it's bedtime she will start to play all kinds of tricks on me. I guess as of right now it's not,,,, I'm hungry!!!.... or I have to go potty!.... OR I am not tired! First , she will play this game with her blanket-- Peek-A-Boo,,, then she will make her hands go like the song Eensy (sp) Opps Weensy Spider!!I forgot to mention that in my last post. She tries to do the actions to that song!!It's so cute!!! Anyway,,, I eventually have to ignore all of her "BEDTIME TRICKS" and really make her SLEEP!!! Gotta love it !!

Yippy!!! I did it!!!

Grace stayed in nursery school the WHOLE time!!! We were so thankful. We dropped her off sleeping,,,, she did wake up but they said she did ok. Yes,,, she cried sometimes,,, but overall they said she did fine. When I went to pick her up,,,, she was in a stroller with another child just as happy as ever!! Well,,,,,,,,until she noticed I was coming! Then she started to cry hard. Wow,,, she is growing up before my eyes. She started to mimic animal sounds, says mama more,,, and even will say Bye- Bye and wave. Wow,, she is actually a toddler almost! NOT until her 1st birthday. (IN 1 MONTH!!! Can you believe that????) OK until next time!

Super Cute Today

Well Grace had a rough night last night!!!! Not sure why??? She woke up at 12:00 ,,,, wanted a bottle,,,, then woke up again at 4:30. She was in and out of sleep!!Perhaps she is having a growth spurt!!! Not sure! But she was still in good spirits today. We had a play date yesterday,,,, and today we all went jogging!! She just went down for a nap, so I am going to relax for a bit! Today we are going to lay low. We may all go walking or out exploring together, but nothing major. Tomorrow we have church, so we need to be rested!! I hope to try the nursery! Any tips on how to leave her???? e-mail me at momoh_anna@yahoo.com I really haven't tried to do anything but drop her off and RUN!!Ha ha,,, but perhaps another method will work better!! When she is sleeping I just can't stand to leave her. That to me is setting her up for failure. If she wakes up to a strange place,,, she usually cries. But maybe I am wrong!!

Curly Hair

I combed Grace's hair out in the tub with conditioner! Sometimes it get really tangled up in the back,,, but I am using a new technique,,,,, so we'll see!!!

GG's Sweater!!!!

Grace and I had a busy morning already!!! I bundled her up in Great Grandma's sweater,,,, and off we went. I love grandma's sweaters!!! They are so perfectly made. Grace kept looking at it,,, and pulling it up to put her face in it!!! I told her to be gentle... GG made it just for her!!! Anyway,,,, we saw many geese on our way there. Grace went "tweet tweet"! I love that!!! While she was swinging,, she kept looking over at the empty swing!! I said,,, "It's just YOU Grace!" We plan on playing with her new friend later today!! She just fell asleep,.,,, so it will be MUCH later! Happy Friday everyone!

YES...... A WINTER!!!!

We are getting Grace ready for the cold weather!!! I can't believe how much I've missed the smell of FALL and that COLD feeling!!! I loved the winters in Houston,,, but I really did miss the seasons. It's so nice!!!! I am sure Grace will love it!!! She is a HOT baby,,, so she will love to roll in the snow!! We can make snow angels, sled, have snow fights, and maybe even ice fish with Papa this December!!! I can't wait!!

Play Date

Remember we went out to eat last Saturday with that couple Adeyiza met? Well it worked out really good. They have a son (as shown in the pic) and he is so much fun ! Grace loves playing with him. They came over today, and we are going over to their house tomorrow. Yippy!!!! A new friend for Grace!! Even though he is a bit older, they still had a great time!! Plus,,, he can teach her how to crawl and walk!!!

Time to Child Proof!!!

So,,,, I was minding my own business,,, (perhaps I shouldn't have been !) Grace all of a sudden got VERY quiet. I try to give her "alone" time,,, (when she is playing with her toys and such) and I peeked over and found her trying to get the scent plug-in out of the wall. Yes,,, she did end of getting it,,, but I took these pics trying to show you what happened. I said, "Grace.... what are you doing?" In a stern voice,,,, she looked at me with the "Oops,, I'm in trouble!" look. Then she started to pout. I know, I know,,, how mean. BUT,, she needs to learn these things now,,, before it's too late. That's all I have to do,,, is change my voice,,, and she KNOWS I mean business. Kind of like teaching. Once you change to that "mean" voice,,,, they know something is NOT right!!!! But don;t worry,,, I picked her up and gave her lots of hugs and redirected her to something she COULD play with!!! However,,, it was clearly my fault. She is just on the move now. I need to get those plug ins this weekend,,,, and child proof this WHOLE apartment!!

Church Time Again!

This was last Sunday. She did NOT want her bow in. She kept pulling and pulling ,,,, finally she started crying!!! I told her she looked beautiful with it in,,, she didn't care!!! Again,,, she sat with during service. It's her nap time (11-1) so she is always sooooo tired!! I would hate for her to wake up in a strange place and get scared. The good thing is that they have an area where kids and parents can go. So we go there. It works,,, and we do whatever WORKS!! She is sleeping now so I thought i should catch up on my blogging. It's my hobby I guess!!!

Almost Grace!!!! You can do it!!

Yes,,, she is almost crawling!! She will get up on all fours,,, rock back forth,,,back and forth,,, then PLOP,,, back on the floor. Then roll -roll-roll-roll to the object!!! At least she is trying :)
