First Ritz Cracker

This was a while back,,,, but this was the first cracker I gave Grace. She did ok!!! Not that interested in them I guess!!!

HI Grace!!

This is my view when I push her in the stroller around town,,, to parks,,, to the store,,, or where ever my feet can take us!!! How cute it is to be watch ALL the time!! OH and yes,,, she will do SO BIG while we walk,, and look up at me like this! She will ONLY put her hands down if I say it to her!!! People probably think I'm nuts walking down the street saying , "So BIG! So BIG!" I tell her,, OK GRACE ,,, I get it,,,, You are "SO BIG!" Too cute!!

Game Time!!!! Or at least we thought it was...........

Did we really wake Grace up to go to a Red Socks game??? Yes,,, we did!! Look at her!!! She looks sooooo sleepy! BUT,,, we really wanted to go out and see them play. However,,, we were a tad late and all the tickets were sold out. Well they had single seats left,,, but we wanted to be together of course. Adeyiza gets a deal with his physician badge,,, so we tried,,, but NO luck!! Next time prehaps! :)

Giddy UP DADDY!!!

While I was cooking dinner,,,, Adeyiza was giving Grace rides on his shoulder!!! She was about to go to bed,,, so I told her she could stay up a tad longer to play with dad!!!

Church Today!!!

OK well,, NO GO for her staying in the nursery. We dropped her off crying,,, I ended up getting paged 5 minutes later. She was crying so hard that she vomited. Kind of like she did when we did the whole "cry out" method. It just never worked. I tried so hard,,,, but she will cry until she gets so sick that everything has to be changed and washed. I am not talking just spitting up,,, I am talking it wets her whole body,, hair,,, and bedding!!! BUT- (I know I am getting off topic!) NOW,,, as my friend Sally told me,,,, I put her in her crib,,, rub or pat her back,,,, and she goes to sleep. I WILL NOT pick her up when she cries. The first time she only cried a bit,,, now it's hardly at all,, and she doesn't get sick anymore. This method really has worked the best for us. Rocking her to sleep would last 2 hours,,,, letting her cry it out,,,, was just NOT working,,, so the "pat the back" method has worked SOOOO good!!! Anyway,,, back to church. I went to pick her up,,, and sure enough she was crying soooo hard. One of those sniff cries where she can;t get her breath. NOW,,,,, right before we left Houston,,, she was getting better with other people holding her. I feel as if we are back to square one!!! I guess what should I expect,,,, with Adeyiza working,,, and it being just us,,, who can blame her!!! This dress is SUPER cute!! Adeyiza sister gave it to us!!! It looks just like Grace,,,, However,,, now it does need a good washing,,, !! But that's ok,,, she looked cute despite a little messy front!!! Next week,,,, we shall try again!!

You don't suppose her car seat is a tad small ??? I think it's time to upgrade. Good thing we only drive once a week!!!!

Dinner Time

I know,,,, I take WAY too many pictures... and I may post WAY too many at one time,, BUT I just can't help it!! She is so funny and I want everyone to see her personality even from far away. So,,,,,,,, again,,,,,,,,,,, at dinner..... I had to say, "So BIG!" every time she raises her hands. She will now just raise them,,,, wait for me to say it,,,, then giggle,,, and put them down. She is really loving this whole SO BIG thing!!! Tonight.... we were doing our "regular" routine = the 4 B's. (Bath, Bottle, Books, Bed) Mom brought this one Peek A Boo book when they came last weekend. Well... lets just say I have it memorized. So I read it.,,,,, not once.... not twice,.,,,, not 3 times.... A total of 10 ,, yes TEN times!!!! That's not b/c I picked it,,,I usually read about 3-4 DIFFERENT books. I read the Peek A Boo one,,,, put it down,,,,, grabbed a different book,,, and she cried while kicking the other book OVER AND OVER again!!! My goodness... she has a temper already. SO,.,,,, not a big deal,,,, I got the same book,,, read it again,,, put it down ,,,, grabbed a different one,,, and YES... kicked and cried. Well... to make a long story short,, we really did read it 10 times. I guess she REALLY loves that book!!! How funny :)

Bird Watching!!!

Grace loves to WATCH birds!!! So,,, we will pack our "going out" bag AKA diaper bag PLUS snacks and a swim suit,,, and head to a park of some sort. Today we were on our way to the Frog Pad,,,, when we stopped to take a look at the birds. We ended up staying on this path that leads to the Frog Pad,,, but never made it to the actual place. It was still a 30 min. walk,,,, so we stayed there for a while, had a snack/water, and then went back home. Grace watched all the birds. I throw Cheerios at them,,,, they come up really close,,, and Grace gets SOOOO excited. We do this for while. She will make a high pitched noise,,,(as if she is chirping),,,, over and over again!! I love it!!! The birds are so used to people that she can get a good look. I tried taking pics of her in action,,, but it was hard to do with her on my lap. I had someone take us,,,, just because:) ! Tomorrow we will go to the Music Center to get her registered for our music classes for fall semester. I just hope I can walk that far when it's cold. I guess it will give me motivation if I have to PAY for the classes. I just have to keep telling myself, "Do it for Grace!" She LOVES singing and dancing with other kids. Although some of the things we have to do,,, I am a BIT out of my comfort zone,,, but OH well!!! We all have fun. Another Friday,,,, YIPPY that means the weekend is almost here!!! (Daddy time!)

Get that out of my hair mom!!!

So Grace has been trying to pull her bows out of her hair. Sometimes she will even try to pull one out even if I didn't put one in. She is something else!! She is sleeping now, but when she wakes up we are going to go down to the Frog Pad. I think it's about time she gets wet again!!! It's so pretty out,,, I can't waist a day inside!!! Oh and one more thing- look at the last picture!! Grace does this thing where she takes a drink,,, and spits it all back out!! She loves to do it,,, but it makes a wet mess! Look- her clothes are wet and we were about 30 minutes from home. Good thing they dried quickly!!! It is funny to watch though. People probably think she can't drink or something. Again,,,, she is something else!!!

COPY CAT

I forgot the name of this drink,,,, but it's 1/2 tea and 1/2 lemonade. My nephews LOVE it,, and I saw it at the store on our way.... so I had to try it!! Good choice boys!!! It's great! Grace tried to get a drink,,, but well.,,,, lets just say she didn't!!!!

OK,, I get it!!! SOOOO BIG!!!

OK,,, now it's a BIT out of hand. Grace and I went to a grassy area to play yesterday,,,, and every 5 minutes she would look at me with the "SO BIG!" hands. So,,,,, each time I had to say it to her!!! Although it was cute,,,,, I kind of just wanted to relax while she played... ha ha!! Got to LOVE IT!!!!

Peek-A-BOO

She loves playing Peek-A-Boo!!! She will take blankets, stuffed animals, dolls, and buckets and cover her face. I'll say, "Where is Grace?".,.. (then she removes the object from her face) "PEEK-A-BOO!!!" and she giggles!!!!! TOO funny!!!

Just For Papa and Grammy!!!

Grace and I were playing today,,,, and here is what I said. "Grace, do you remember what grammy and papa taught you?" As Grace looks at me I begin to say it. "How big is Grace?"......."SOOOOO Big!" And sure enough,,, she did it all on her own. See,,,, I tell her to do things like clap, say HI, "to the face" (it's just our thing), and I DON'T do the motions to see if she remembers. AND SHE DOES!!! SHe is soooo smart!!! So here it is.... her SOOOO big is Sooooo CUTE!!!

Thank You Papa and Grammy!!!

These are the only two pics I have of Grammy and Papa.... I think Grammy has all our GOOD ones n her camera. Anyway,,, we thank them for coming out to see us. We had such a great time,,,, Grace missed them I am sure. Also.,,, it was nice for Adeyiza to have a DATE night!! We love going to dinner with Grace,,, but sometimes it's nice to just relax and focus on US!!! So that was fun!!! Thanks again to you both for all you did!!!

UPDATE ON GRACE: OK so Grace is getting 4 TEETH in at the same time. That makes 8 total. I can't believe it!! I never heard of that,, but perhaps it's normal.... I don't know!!! She was BIT FUSSY,,, but after some pain relief, oral gel, and a nice nap,,, she was better. She is also refusing her bottles during the day. So I guess taking away her bottles won't be an issue!!! Other than that, she is doing great!! No crawling yet,,, but on all 4's and getting ready to. Standing more on my lap... not on a table or couch or anything!! When she's ready,,, she will I'm sure be all over the place!!!!

Cape Cod

We all traveled to Cape Cod Saturday. It was so much fun. Grace swam in the ocean. She loved to float and later she even ate some fish!!!

SOOOOO BIG!!!!!!!!!!!

Papa and Grammy arrived here on Thursday morning. We had a great visit. Guess what???? By Saturday,.,,,, they taught her the, "How big is Grace?".... "SOOOO Big!" She does it all on her own. It is soooo cute!!

Catch it Grace!!!!

This is a continue to the other post I just did!!! We had a great time today with playing ball!! She will throw it to me,,, ok well sometimes!!!! Wow,,, who knew how fun a BALL could be!!!
