Happy First Brithday Grace!!!

Grace had a great birthday!!! We started off opening presents. Thank you all for sending your gifts, cards, and birthday wishes to Grace. She loves EVERYTHING she got.... and we thank you so much. After gifts,,, we were all hungry,,,, so we ate a YUMMY spaghetti dinner. I usually make my sauce,,,, however,,, dad makes the BEST meatballs,,, so we combined the two. i made the sauce and then we added his meatballs. Grace LOVES spaghetti- so I made sure to make it for her birthday. After dinner,,,, CAKE TIME!!! OK so I know it's not the BEST looking cake,,,, but Grace was so excited when she first got it. We sang to her and then her do what she wanted to with the cake. She was sooooo silly!! She just kept screaming (with excitement) and laughing. We were all laughing so hard. She was just ,,,, you know,,,, super cute!!! THEN,,,,after I put some in my mouth,,, she finally ate some. At first she just wanted to play in it,,,, ONCE she realized it was sweet and delicious,,, she started eating it. She didn't eat that much though. Just enough I guess!!! After cake ,,, she had a bath. Soon after,,,, it was time for bed. She did so good all day,,,, and I know she was so happy and excited!!! WOW- it's all over!! We are so thankful for the day, Grace, and for mom and dad to help celebrate this day with us.

Today I am 1 year old!!!!!!!!!!

Well here we are!! Grace is enjoying her day. She is happy,,,, excited,,,, and cute as ever!! More pictures to come,,, I just wanted to get this one on now!!! Like I said,, we are so thankful for Grace. She has changed our lives in so many ways. We love her so much and continue to thank God for her.

Twas the night before Grace's birthday..........

Twas the night before Grace's birthday and all is excited and waiting!!! OK- so Adeyiza just finished decorating our apartment.

I can't wait for her to wake up and see all the balloons and streamers. I will post pics of the big day as soon as I can. Grammy and Papa are here now to help us celebrate. Adeyzia's parents will be here in 2 weeks,,, so we will see them too. We are so thankful all of our family/friends come out to see us. OK back to the party- so tomorrow we are going to have a great spaghetti dinner, followed by birthday cake and ice cream. I can't wait to see how she reacts to her very own cake. I am just soooooo excited. We thank God for her and for her birthday. We will continue to pray for a healthy and happy daughter. OH don't worry,,, tomorrow I am really going to reflect,,,, I just gave you a sneak peak :)!!!!

3 Days,,, Until the BIG DAY!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE this first picture!!!! That has to be one of my favorite pics of ALL time!!! I still look at her baby pictures and can't believe that was her. She has changed so much!!!!! Grammy and Papa are coming in today,,,, probably landed right now!!! They will be so surprised when they see Grace. She is talking more every day. NEW WORDS: "WOW" I say UP,,, she says "daown" (down) "Uh oh" lets see,,, I think that's it.,,.,,, so all of her words are : dada, mama. doggy, wa wa (water) , bubble, Bye-bye-, HI, and I think that's it. I am sure I am leaving out some. BUT really,,,, she repeats me or at least tries to on most all words. In the elevator she even counts as we go up or down. The numbers change,,, so a long time ago I started counting to her each time we went in them. NOW- she starts counting (well tries to) as soon as we get in them. OH and she also mumbles while I sing (trying to sing with me). I just love all this new learning. Also,,,she knows some sign language; "All Done", "More", and "Amen". TOO CUTE!!!

4 Days Until the BIG DAY!!!

Look at my little baby girl!!! I am starting a count down. 4 days left!!!! On her Birthday I will post new pictures,,,, but until then........ it's remembering the past time!!!!

Yoga Time!!!!

Grace and I do YOGA together!!! Yippy!!! I was counting the days down when we can do girl things together!! I guess they're coming sooner than I thought!!!!

This is her new 'thing". She always stops and gets in this position. It's the cutest thing ever!!!

Birthday Surprise

Wow what a day we had!!! How sweet is Kian and his mommy to have a mini party for her. First, they came over and surprised Grace with a gift. She LOVES it!! She's playing with it now! Then we all went to the park - SUCH a beautiful day today!! It was the perfect weather. Grace was SOOOO sleepy,,, we tried to hurry to the ice cream place,, BUT NOPE too much fun!! She didn't make it!! She fell asleep. BUT I saved her ice cream. She can have it later!!! They were so sweet to do this. They are leaving tomorrow for a month,,,, BOO HOO!!! I don't know what we are going to do without our friends!!! That's why we celebrated today. Kian won't be able to come on Grace's actual b-day. So we are thankful for today!!!

Wrestle Time!!!!

This is Grace's favorite stuffed animal. Her Kitty!!! I say, "Where is the Kitty? Kitty Kitty???" and she goes crazy!! She will get it and wrestle with it!!!
